Ingredients:


For the cake:


- 1 1/2 cups (190g) almond flour

- 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar

- 3 large eggs, at room temperature

- 2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder

- 1/2 teaspoon salt

- 1/2 cup (120ml) whole milk, at room temperature

- 1 teaspoon pure almond extract

- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract


For the almond buttercream frosting (optional):


- 1 cup (200g) unsalted butter, softened

- 2 cups (400g) powdered sugar

- 2 tablespoons almond butter

- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract


Instructions:


1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C). Grease two 8-inch (20cm) round cake pans.

2. In a medium bowl, whisk together almond flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.

3. In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, almond extract, and vanilla extract.

4. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until smooth.

5. Divide the batter evenly between the prepared pans.
