*Ingredients:*


- 1 kg mutton pieces (with bone)

- 2 medium onions, chopped

- 2 cloves garlic, minced

- 1 medium ginger, grated

- 1 tablespoon ghee or oil

- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds

- 1 teaspoon coriander powder

- 1 teaspoon garam masala powder

- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder

- 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder

- 1/2 teaspoon salt

- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

- 2 tablespoons yogurt

- 2 tablespoons lemon juice

- 2-3 green chilies, chopped (optional)

- Fresh cilantro, chopped (for garnish)


*Instructions:*


1. Heat oil in a large pan over medium heat.

2. Add cumin seeds and let sizzle.

3. Add chopped onions and cook until golden brown (5-6 minutes).

4. Add minced garlic and grated ginger. Cook for 1 minute.

5. Add mutton pieces and cook until browned (5-6 minutes).

6. Add coriander powder, garam masala powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder, salt, and black pepper. Cook for 1 minute.

7. Add yogurt and lemon juice. Mix well.

8. Add 2-3 cups water and bring to a boil.

9. Reduce heat to low and simmer, covered, for 1-2 hours or until mutton is tender.

10. Garnish with chopped cilantro and green chilies (if using).

11. Serve hot with basmati rice, naan, or roti.
