Ingredients:


For the gravy:


2 tablespoons ghee or oil

1 small onion, finely chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon ginger paste

1 tablespoon tomato puree

1 teaspoon coriander powder

1/2 teaspoon garam masala powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

2 tablespoons all-purpose flour

1 cup chicken broth

1/2 cup water

2 tablespoons heavy cream (optional)

Instructions:


1. Heat ghee or oil in a pan over medium heat.

2. Add onion, garlic, and ginger paste; sauté until the onion becomes translucent.

3. Add tomato puree, cumin, coriander, garam masala, salt, and pepper. Let it cook 1-2 minutes.

4. Add the flour and cook 1 minute, stirring constantly.

5. Gradually add chicken broth and water, whisking continually.

6. Bring to a boil, then simmer on low heat for 5-7 minutes or until thickened.

7. Stir in heavy cream if using.

8. Now, add the cooked chicken kofta and simmer for 2-3 minutes in the gravy.

9. Sprinkle chopped cilantro on top and serve with naan, rice, or roti.
