Chicken Qorma 


*Servings:* 4-6 people


*Cooking Time:* 30-40 minutes


*Ingredients:*


- 1 1/2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breast or thighs

- 2 medium onions, chopped

- 2 cloves of garlic, minced

- 1 medium ginger, grated

- 1 tablespoon ghee or oil

- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds

- 1 teaspoon coriander powder

- 1 teaspoon garam masala powder

- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder

- 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder

- 1/2 teaspoon salt

- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

- 2 tablespoons yogurt

- 2 tablespoons lemon juice

- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro (optional)


*Instructions:*


1. Heat oil in a large pan over medium heat.

2. Add chopped onions and cook until golden brown (5-6 minutes).

3. Add grated ginger and minced garlic. Cook for 1 minute.

4. Add cumin seeds, coriander powder, garam masala powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder, salt, and black pepper. Cook for 1 minute.

5. Add chicken and cook until browned (5-6 minutes).

6. Mix in yogurt and lemon juice. Reduce heat to low and simmer, covered, for 20-25 minutes or until chicken is cooked through.

7. Garnish with chopped cilantro (if using).

8. Serve hot with basmati rice, naan, or roti.
